The health, well-being and performance of people depend to a significant degree on the indoor environmental quality (IEQ) of buildings, given that people spend approximately 90% of their time indoors. This study aims to quantify and value the benefits of factors that contribute to indoor environmental quality resulting from energy renovation or construction of high energy performance buildings. This study builds on the 2017 analysis by Buildings 2030 and BPIE: “People-Centric Buildings for European Citizens”
